ASTM A53 Schedule 40 pipe nipples are made from carbon steel with a wall thickness defined by the Schedule 40 standard. These pipe nipples can be manufactured from either seamless or welded pipe fittings, offering reliable performance in a wide range of mechanical and pressure applications. They are commonly used in steam, water, gas, and air lines, and are suitable for welding, coiling, bending, and flanging operations.
To enhance corrosion resistance, the surface can be finished in black (black oxide coating / black sandblasted) or hot-dip galvanized.
